About the Role
As a Senior Forensics Engineer, you will manage and execute multiple forensic assignments across architectural, engineering, and construction disciplines. Your work will involve detailed investigations, preparation of expert reports, and providing litigation support. This role also includes mentoring junior team members, contributing to business development, and fostering strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections, field data collection, and technical analysis for forensic assignments.
- Develop expert reports, repair recommendations, and cost estimates.
- Provide expert witness testimony and litigation support, including creating demonstrative exhibits.
- Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring high-quality, value-added services.
- Mentor junior staff, supporting their technical growth and development.
- Participate in marketing efforts and expand local service offerings.
What You Bring
- Education & Licensure: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Florida P.E. license (additional certifications are a plus).
- Experience: 5+ years in forensic consulting with a focus on residential and commercial construction.
- Skills: Excellent technical, organizational, and communication skills, with proficiency in relevant software tools.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and access roofs.
- Travel: Willingness to travel 50% or more, including air travel.
- Preferred Skills: Spanish fluency, experience with CAD/BIM, and familiarity with testing methods are advantageous.
